The Godbeam is a gas-guzzling, rip-roaring science fantasy adventure through the year 2345.
In this insane vision of the future, navigator Rebecca Fury travels an endless ocean of sand that swallows the globe. Winding through dunes and flooded ruins full of subterranean reptiles, she blasts a trail from the radio-city of Colossa in search of…… well, she’s not really sure. Crossing her path on this daring journey is a colorful cast of characters— a wannabe rock star, a girl doomed to slowly lose her senses, and a fallen warrior with a diesel-powered heart. This is a quest for hope in a world that does not care.
This is a story that has been sitting for some time now.
The word “godbeam” is interesting to me. It is a symbol of hope and perseverance. Yet, in the context of this story, it is a symbol of despair and agony upon the world.
Inspired heavily by older science-fiction and hot rod comics, The Godbeam is going to be an 8-issue series, which I will be printing frequently over the next few years.
