As Rebecca and Firedome return to the radio city of Colossa, new revelations come to light on the nature of its studios. Is Colossa an elevated haven for its people, or is it the sickest prison ever constructed? Meanwhile, a brother and sister abandoned in the ocean seem destined to lose a battle of survival in the Sunklands. Introducing the “Mad, Mad Maestro”, this issue is sure to be a torrent of crazy hot-rod drama!

Straight-Eight Comics is an independent illustration and comic book studio by writer and artist Tom Steele.

If the name isn’t a giveaway, the artwork on this site is predominantly focused on classic cars. Using mostly traditional materials, S8C is also proud to announce the printing of a new science-fiction comic, The Godbeam.

S8C’s primary goal is to single-handedly use the power of words and art to completely transform the populace-at-large’s perception on the injustices of life and the world to further the push for mankind’s enlightenment, as well as provide an outlet for the creator’s sarcasm.

About the artist

Tom Steele is an incredibly ripped multi-trillionaire with an IQ score of 2,000. Everywhere he goes, he is fighting evil and rescuing scantily-clad blondes from perilous, highly improbable situations. Among his many astounding exploits are the time he single-handedly won the Super Bowl and saved Christmas.

When he is not making up stories and writing them in an autobiography page, he is making up stories and writing them in a comic book. Illustration has always been his passion, and his inspiration lies predominantly inside musty old books and classic cars. He loves writing, except when it’s about himself in the third person. That’s a little awkward.
